School Governors in Doncaster

School Governors are the largest volunteer force in the country.

In Doncaster we currently have over 1800 School Governors and Members serving on 122 School Governing Bodies and 5 Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) Management Committees. Governors make an important contribution within their school’s local community whilst also playing an integral role in shaping the future for Doncaster’s children.

Governors in Doncaster come from all walks of life and sections of the community. Almost anyone can serve as a Governor: parents, school staff or business or local community representatives. All you need to be a Governor is a commitment to help the school and its children and willingness to offer your time, energy and knowledge.

Being a Governor in Doncaster is challenging and stimulating, but most of all rewarding!

School Data Dashboard

Click here to access the School Data Dashboard. The School Data Dashboard provides a snapshot of the school's performance at Key Stage1 and 2. The data dashboard can be used by school governors and by members of the public to check the performance of the school in which they are interested.

The School Data Dashboard complements the Ofsted school inspection report by providing an analysis of school performance over a three-year period, covering expected progress, attainment, narrowing the gap between disadvantaged and other pupils and attendance.

Meeting Dates

The next meeting of the full governing body will be on Monday 22nd January 2018 at 5pm at Brooke Primary School.
